Terms of Service — Selah Faith

Before you begin: Selah Faith is a spiritual companion, not a therapist, doctor, counsellor, or crisis line. If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please contact emergency services (999 in UK, 911 in US, 190/192 in Brazil, or 112 in Europe) or a qualified professional immediately.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using Selah Faith in any form (including via Telegram, web, email, or any other channel), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Who Can Use Selah Faith

You must be 18 years or older to use Selah Faith. By using the service, you confirm and represent that you are at least 18 years of age.

If we become aware that you are under 18, we will suspend and delete your account and all associated data.

3. What Selah Faith Is (and Is Not)

Selah Faith is a spiritual companion built using artificial intelligence. Our guides (Samuel, Thomas, Grace, Graça) are AI personas designed to offer spiritual conversation, prayer, and presence.

Selah Faith is NOT:

A licensed therapist, counsellor, or mental health professional
A medical or healthcare provider
A crisis intervention service
A substitute for professional care of any kind
A source of legal, financial, or professional advice
A human. You are speaking with an AI.

The guides do not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or replace any professional care. Any advice, reflection, or suggestion given by the guides is spiritual and conversational in nature only.

4. Mental Health and Crisis

If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, self-harm urges, abuse, or a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or crisis hotline immediately. Our guides will direct you to appropriate resources, but Selah Faith is not a crisis service.

5. Your Responsibilities

You will not attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or extract system prompts from the guides
You will not use Selah Faith to harm yourself or others
You will not share your account access with others
You will seek professional help for issues beyond spiritual conversation
You will be honest about your age and circumstances

6. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is fundamental to Selah Faith. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data. Key points:

Your conversations are not stored long-term. Only abstract spiritual summaries are kept.
You can delete everything about you at any time via /delete in Telegram.
We do not sell your data or use it to train AI models.

7. Payments and Subscriptions

During the alpha phase, Selah Faith is free. When paid subscriptions launch:

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
You can cancel anytime from your account dashboard
1% of every subscription goes to charity each month
Refunds are handled case-by-case in line with consumer law in your jurisdiction

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Selah Faith, its founders, operators, and affiliates are not liable for:

Any decision, action, or inaction you take based on conversations with our guides
Any harm, loss, or damage arising from use of the service
Any interruption, error, or inaccuracy in the service
Third-party services (Anthropic, ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Telegram, Supabase) that power parts of Selah Faith

You use Selah Faith at your own risk. For anything serious, please consult qualified professionals.

9. Intellectual Property

The Selah Faith brand, name, guide personas, system design, and content belong to us. You retain ownership of the words you share with the service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, misuse the service, attempt to harm others, or for any reason we consider necessary to protect our users or the service. You may terminate your account anytime via /delete in Telegram or through your dashboard at /me.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-product notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except where local consumer protection laws require otherwise.
