2. What Data We Collect

When you join the waitlist:

• Email address
• Language preference
• Date you joined

When you use the bot on Telegram:

• Telegram user ID (a number, not your phone)
• First name (as you tell us)
• Your guide choice, language, and preferences
• Messages during an active session (deleted automatically — see below)
• Voice messages (transcribed then deleted — see below)
• Session metadata (duration, count, no content)

What we do NOT collect:

• Your phone number
• Your real name (only what you tell us)
• Your location
• Your IP address (beyond standard server logs)
• Any payment information (until you subscribe — then via Stripe, handled by them)

4. Memory Summaries (Important)

To personalise your experience, your guide maintains a brief abstract memory of your emotional and spiritual needs. These summaries are written carefully to avoid specific facts.

Example of what we might store: "Carries loneliness that returns at night. Responds to presence-focused prayer."

Example of what we would NEVER store: "Maria said her husband cheated on her with a coworker."

Your actual words are deleted. Only the abstract emotional theme remains.

• To enable conversations with your guide
• To remember you across sessions
• To send morning messages (once that feature launches)
• To improve the service with aggregated, anonymised usage patterns
• To protect the service from abuse

We do not:

• Sell your data to anyone
• Use your conversations to train AI models
• Share your data with advertisers
• Read your individual conversations (beyond what is operationally needed)

6. Third Parties Who Process Your Data

Selah Faith uses a few carefully-chosen partners. Each has their own privacy terms:

We do not transfer data to any country with lower data protection standards than the EU without appropriate safeguards.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR, LGPD, and similar laws, you have the right to:

• Access your data. View your profile and memory at selahfaith.com/me.
• Rectify your data. Update your profile anytime.
• Delete everything. Type /delete CONFIRM in Telegram, or use the delete button in your dashboard.
• Export your data. Email grace@selahfaith.com and we will send you a copy.
• Restrict processing. Email us.
• Object to processing. Email us.
• Complain to a supervisory authority in your country if you believe we have mishandled your data.

8. Security

• All data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS everywhere)
• Database encrypted at rest (Supabase, EU-hosted)
• Access keys stored in secure environment variables, never in code
• Row-level security enforced on all database tables
• Strict access controls on admin functions

9. Age Restriction

Selah Faith is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will delete their account and data.

10. International Transfers

Our data is primarily stored in the EU (Frankfurt). Some third-party services (Anthropic, OpenAI, Telegram) operate globally. Where data is transferred outside the EU or UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and other approved safeguards.

Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice. This page shows the last updated date at the top.
